“Are cheap coding classes for kids any good?” is the right suspicion. Discount usually means either (a) recorded content or (b) a giant webinar. Live 1:1 can still be affordable. That is the $11 US Super Mentors class.
Cheap live vs cheap recorded
| Signal | Probably a library | Probably a real class |
|---|---|---|
| Mentor on the call | No | Yes, every session |
| Batch size | Unlimited or unclear | 1, 3, or 5 |
| Trial | 7-day video access | 60-minute live build |
| US price | $8/month videos | About $11 per live session |
Read a syllabus before you trust a low number: Python with AI is 30 live sessions. Scratch is 30. Web Development is 30 (beginner). That is labour, not a content dump.
Who still teaches at this price
Profiles are public: Shivam Jha, Ankit Singh, Swati Priya. If a cheap competitor has no named mentors, you are buying a brand, not a teacher.
GeekashramJr is live online worldwide. US families start at USA classes and US pricing. Also available in the UK, UAE, India, Canada, Australia, and Singapore — pick another country for local times.
Inspect one live hour before you decide “too cheap.” Book the first 60-minute live session ($3, adjusted on enrolment). Other countries pay that same session in their currency, then compare live coding plans in USD.
